Driftwood Cove Beach House is located on the south end of Lasqueti Island, the Gulf Island's "best kept secret", about 100 km (60 miles) north of Vancouver.
The ferry departs from French Creek, 1/2 hour north of Naniamo, on Vancouver Island.
Like any great adventure - getting here is half the fun.

Fare: varies with the season, but is about $8/adult.
Pay for tickets once aboard and underway.
Pets are allowed on ferry, but must be leashed or in a kennel at all times.
Kayaks and canoes must be empty of all gear before being put on the ferry.

Boarding Passes: On summer and holiday weekends, it isadvisable to arrive at French Creek one hour before sailing to get a boarding pass at the Ferry Dock. Please note that you must be back on the dock at least 15 minutes before the scheduled sailing time for your bording pass to be honoured.

Water taxi - private charters are available from either French Creek (just north of Parksville on Vancouver Island) or Schooner Cove, at Nanoose Bay which is south of Parksville, or Secret Cove on the Sunshine Coast. Rates will be quoted at the time of booking, but usually range between $100 - $150, depending on conditions i.e. weather, season, amount of weight, etc.

Private boat - if you're coming in your own boat, the nearest safe harbour for small boats is Squitty Bay, just around the point from Driftwood Cove. This small bay can be congested during the summer months. Pickup from Squitty Bay is free. There is also a mooring in front for those who wish to keep their boats close-by; this mooring is suitable for vessels under 24 ft, and only when seas are relatively calm.

Seaplane/Helicopter - we will supply seaplane carrier names upon request. Arrival at our beach is possible in good weather. We also have a large open grassy area suitable for helicopter landings.
